“Hey, nerds! Who’s got two thumbs, speaks limited french, and hasn’t cried once today? This moi!”

The Oilers somehow managed to pull a win out of their butts last night and beat the Canucks 2-1. I love it any time they win, but when they beat Vancouver it’s even more special because I don’t have to hear any taunting/bragging/patronizing comments from Canucks fans. One of my friends even texted me last night to apologize for trash talking. Excellent. The only downside is that I picked Roberto Luongo in my hockey pool and he has been getting me practically no points. I suppose this is mostly my own fault.
I believe I’ve mentioned this here before but I’m not really a Halloween kind of girl. I blame growing up on the prairies where most years it was already -25C by October 31st and no one could even seen your costume under your snowsuit and you were frostbitten by the time you got to your next door neighbor’s house. Normally I just hide out in my basement and watch non-scary movies and buy my own Halloween candy, but this year I need to find a costume because people in my offices are all gung ho about Halloween. Seriously, they started talking about it basically right when I started in September.
For the last few weeks I’ve been trying to come up with the most half-assed Halloween costume possible. Up until today I was going to go with three-hole-punched Sarah (if you’re going to steal, steal from the best right?):

But, thanks to a far away friend of mine whose brilliant idea I am shamelessly stealing, I have now settled on the best half-assed Halloween costume of all. Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to be Liz Lemon for Halloween! It’s perfect! I already have the glasses and the chucks, all I need is to make a TGS logo to tape to my hoodie. YES.

This is INSPIRED, and oh, how I wish I had thought of it first. It might have made me not even hate Halloween.
Thank you, thank you. Although really it was Gen’s idea first. But she lives in Scotland so I think I can get away with copying her.
