Why yes, I would like some cheese with this whine.

My work is crazy right now. Everyone seems to have planned every meeting that is humanly possible for last week and this week. On top of attending all of these I have actual work to do and I’m just…stressed. Grinding my teeth in my sleep, having back spasms kind of stressed. Also contributing to this is the abysmal, end-of-the-world rain we’ve been having for the past week and the fact that I have not been home very much at all. I need my couch time people! As of tonight I will be two weeks behind on One Tree Hill (for shame!). I don’t do well with only being home to sleep.
The good news is that I came home from church yesterday morning and Roomie had cleaned the entire house. She did all the dishes, vacuumed, washed the floors, cleaned the bathroom and even washed the floor mats. I almost cried when I walked in the door because I had been dreading the pile of dishes in the kitchen (which were mostly mine) and she already did them. I should get her a gold star or something.
And ok, ok it hasn’t been all stressful doom and gloom. In the interest of ac-cent-u-ate-ing the positive, I am happy to report that when my only pair of work appropriate boots developed a huge hole in them (due to the aforementioned end-of-the-world rain) I finally had a valid excuse to buy these incredibly cute new ones that I have had my eye on for awhile. Also, I went to see The Cat Empire at the Commodore with Ariana and it was one of the best shows I’ve been to in awhile. But don’t take my word for it:
Also, I was asked to do a brief write up on the opening band at the last minute and I’d say I did a pretty good job considering I’d never even heard of them before last Tuesday. You can check it out at Backstage Vancouver if you feel so inclined.
If it makes you feel any better, One Tree Hill wasn’t new tonight.
